On June, 24, 2016, Sino-EU zero-carbon community and elderly care salon was held at Bookworm, Chengdu.
This salon was held by Greepi International, ZESO Architects and Sichuan Association of Senior Services.
And it aimed to share the excellent experiences on elderly care in European countries and to promote the development of elderly care industry in China.
This salon attracted many participants from elderly care fields, such as real estate, architectural design, health care and education etc.
and during this salon, we invited some exports in this field to share their ideas on this topic.
--- Topic 1: The trend of elderly care industry in China
--- Speaker: Liu Ming, Chairman of Sichuan Association of Senior Services
Her topic mainly focused on elderly care situation in China, elderly care policies and also the industry situation etc.
She mentioned that now China is coming into an aging society, we need to learn the advanced concepts
and experiences from foreign countries to promote and improve our elderly care service.
--- Topic 2: The concept of elderly care housing in Denmark
--- Speaker: Mr. Kelly, Chief executive of ZESO China
At the beginning, he mentioned his mother who lives in elderly care center in USA, now she is very happy and health.
In west countries, especially in Denmark, the design of elderly care buildings pays more attention on the concept of people-oriented,
and that’s also the design concept and style for ZESO Architects.
Mr.Kelly introduced ten people-oriented design concepts of ZESO, such as elderly care building is a home, not hospital or hotel;
the design should consider dementia elder’s need, don’t separate them from others;
the center should be integrated with community; gathering all elders who has the same interests together to create a social life etc.
And he also introduced some project cases and shared some experiences on elderly care center design,
such as humanized design, detail design, advanced technology application, staff nurse training and education etc.
--- Topic 3: Greepi Village—Chinese-type elderly care pattern in the future
--- Speaker: Zhang Bo, CEO of Greepi International
Greepi also dedicates ourselves to the elderly care industry in China. And Mr.Zhang also put forward the concept of “Greepi Village”.
That’s to say, to build a village for those people in age of 55-75. Those people become tired of the city and care more about elderly life
In all, Greepi Village is the combination of elderly care, rural life and local urbanization.
On one hand, those elderly people will invest and dedicate to build their hometown,
on the other hand, this action will help them to regain their enthusiasm, also drive away their loneliness.
Now Greepi Village is at the exploration stage, we need more partners to explore it together,
And make it become a reality.
--- Topic 4: Innovative elderly care product—2H Health activation
--- Speaker: Ms.Gu Zhihua, Vice President of Sichuan Association of Senior Services
Ms.Gu told about their exploration of elderly care products which can help them to keep health and have a long life.
She visited lots of elderly care center, apartment and institution in European countries.
Based on their advanced experiences and also combined with our Chinese culture, she put forwarder the concept of 2H Health activation.
That’s to say, to use physical, psychological, creative, nature ways to slow down the process of alzheimer's disease
and make the patients more healthy and happy.
Among the participants, Mr. Lawrence, one of the architect for elderly care building in American Institute of Architects, spoke highly of this salon,
he said “I’m very happy to attend this salon here, it’s very interesting, now I’m working on elderly care building design in China,
now the situation of elderly care in China becomes more serious, so we need the discussion and cooperation like this.”
In recent years, Greepi International pay more attention on elderly care industry, and now we also cooperate with
ZESO Architects and Sichuan Association of Senior Services. We hope we can learn the advanced concepts and experiences
from home and abroad, no matter elderly care building design, elderly care product etc,
so that to serve all the elders in China and make them live a happy and heath life.
